Asoka joined the company in 1998 as fund manager for international bonds. After having fulfilled several roles in Asset Management Asoka was appointed Global Head of Fixed Income for DWS and Member of the Management Board of DWS Investment GmbH in 2009. In January 2011 he was appointed Global Chief Investment Officer for DWS.
From November 2012 until June 2014 Asoka served as Co-Chief Investment Officer and July 2014 – November 2015 as Chief Investment Officer (CIO) of Deutsche Asset and Wealth Management and chaired Deutsche AWM’s CIO Executive Committee. As per 01. December 2015 Asoka was appointed into his current role.
Asoka began his career as a research fellow and taught at The Technical University of Vienna and at Otto-von-Guericke University of Magdeburg.
Asoka holds a MSc in Economics from University of Bielefeld and PhD in Economics from Otto-von-Guericke University of Magdeburg .
